I was thinking today...

Today as I was playing with Liam on the floor the thought hit me, " I love being a mom".

Then my next thought was, "I love being This boy's mom".

I really do, I love him so much, and I love that I get to be his mom. Sometimes I'm not paying attention to him and I look over at him and he is staring at me with the biggest smile on his face. Talk about melting my heart. I have heard some people say that they don't really develop that profoundly deep love for their babies until they are 3-4-5 months old, when they start responding to you and showing more personality. I've been lucky enough to have always had that love for Liam. It does grow, but very often I think about how I couldn't possibly love this boy more than I all ready do.

I don't know exactly what I'm trying to say but today I am grateful to be Liam's mom. He is soooo cute and sweet and getting more active every day. Sean and I comment to each other every day (I'm not exaggerating) about how he is THE cutest baby we have ever seen.

Today I briefly talked to my brother-in-law Andrew on the phone and we were talking about Sean's busy school as a med student. He commented how it much be hard for me also since I don't get to see him much. Although this is true, at the same time I'm so grateful he is doing the "hard" work. He has to go to classes, study, take tests all day everyday. I get to be a mom all day every day. Although there are those times where I'm tired or cranky or whatever I wouldn't trade my "job" for anything.

I'm grateful beyond words that Heavenly Father has blessed me in this way, has blessed me to be a mom to THIS little boy.

Liam 8 Months

I CAN NOT believe Liam is 8 months old (as of 5 days ago). He continues to be my sweet baby boy and I/ we love him so much. He thinks he needs to be standing all the time! He has started pulling himself up to standing and continues to roll around, although he is not yet a crawler. One if his big new accomplishments is that he can feed himself puffs! He has the dexterity and hand-eye coordination. He smiles and laughs so easily, but is not a very vocal kid... he does babble.. but not all the time like some babies.. just when he feels like it I guess. He is still our "little" boy in the sense that he's keeping on the 1% curve. We had a "weigh in" at the Dr.'s office Friday and he weighs a whooping 12lbs 7.5 oz =) A lady at church the other week told me he looks just like a hobbit. After she saw the slightly confused look on my face she continued to explain... he is just so small but has such distinct features.... I guess she was giving me a compliment =)
Liam loves his daddy and gets excited to see him every day when he comes home from school. He seems to capture the heart of everyone who meets him. Hes got my heart for sure... I guess I'll keep him =)

5 Months

Liam Walter at 5 months! He is such a joy to us and sits up on his own (mostly). Liams 5th month was a busy one for us. We pack up our apartment in Moscow and moved to Yakima, WA. Sean drove the U-haul and I drove the car. We didn't realize how much "stuff" we had! We mostly unpacked our town house here in Yakima then after only being here for 5 days packed the car and drove to Boise. We had so much fun spending time with my family, all of us even made the long drive to Kalispelle, MT and got to spend some time with my "Montana Family" as I call them. They showed us the ropes and even took us to Glacier National park witch was BEAUTIFUL! I'll have to do a separate post about that later =) Then we drove back to Yakima! Whew what a fun month to spend together with Sean and Liam... no work, no school, just family and fun. School Started August 1st for Sean and he's been with his nose in books since then =)
So there you have it, that was a brief overview of our fun July !

Liam is 4 months old and starting to chub up a bit! At his 4 month Dr. appt. he weighed 10lbs 11 oz! He can grab toys and play with them, roll to his side (we are still working on rolling all the way over) and still loves to stand and face OUT! He smiles and even laughs! Sean is a lot better at making him laugh than I am, it is the best thing in the world. He has discovered his hands and has them in his mouth all the time. He sleeps through the night, which we love and really is such a joy in our lives we love him!
